A complete LMS where the credential a caregiver earns becomes a searchable filter in the marketplace — the mechanism that makes the whole platform cohere.
First commit 29 May 2026 · five-module platform in production 2 July 2026
The admin course editor — basics, skills awarded, curriculum, quiz configuration and certificate signers on one screen.
What it does
Capabilities
A course builder with chapters holding modules, and modules mixing rich text, embedded video and downloadable resources.
A final quiz — the “Integration Moment” — with a configurable pass mark, unlimited attempts, and answers revealed only after passing.
Certificates with configurable signers and footer text, issued automatically on completion.
Bundles, categories, pedagogical approaches (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, forest school, modern evidence-based) and age ranges, all admin-managed.
Free and paid courses, with paid enrolments running through Stripe checkout and a 48-hour self-service refund window.
Skills attached to a course are awarded on completion, appear as verifiable badges on the caregiver’s public profile, and become filter criteria families search on.
How people use it
The journeys it was designed around
An adminPublish a new course without a developer
Creates the course and fills in the basics: title, subtitle, summary, description, cover image, intro video, category, pedagogical approach, care type, age range, estimated learning minutes and delivery mode.
Marks it free or paid, featured or not, and decides whether learners may skip straight to certification.
Selects the skills the course awards — these are the same skills families filter on in the marketplace.
Builds the curriculum: chapters hold modules, and each module can mix rich text, an embedded video and downloadable resources.
Configures the final quiz — pass mark, questions and options — and the certificate signers and footer text.
Previews it in a new tab, then flips it from Draft to Published. No deploy involved.
A caregiverTurn training into something families can see
Browses the catalogue filtered by content type, care type, age range, category, approach and skill.
Works through the player module by module, with progress recorded per module so the course resumes exactly where it was left.
Sits the final quiz with unlimited attempts; which answers were right is only revealed after passing, so retries stay meaningful.
Receives a certificate on completion, and the course’s skills are awarded to their profile.
Those skills appear as verifiable badges on their public marketplace profile and become filters families search on.
How it is built
Implementation and the rules real users find
Under the hood
Courses decompose into chapters, modules, module resources and per-learner module progress — separate tables, so a curriculum can be reordered without rewriting learner history.
Quizzes have their own questions, options and attempt records, plus a parallel revision question set used for retakes.
Enrolment is the entitlement: an enrolment row is what grants access, whether it came from a free enrol, a Stripe purchase or an admin grant.
Skills are a shared vocabulary with sections and mappings, used by courses, caregiver profiles and marketplace filters — one table, three consumers.
Certificate configuration is per-course data, so signers and disclaimer text change without touching code.
Bundles group courses through a join table, letting several courses be sold and granted as one purchase.
The rules real users find
A paid course can be self-refunded by the learner within 48 hours; after that it is an admin action, and enrolment is revoked as part of the refund rather than left dangling.
A course with no quiz certifies on completing all modules, so the quiz stays optional rather than becoming mandatory scaffolding.
Editing a published course does not retroactively invalidate certificates already issued against it.
The certificate explicitly states that it recognises coursework and does not confer a professional licence — a legal requirement in this sector, not a nicety.

The rest of the platform
All 5 modules
These were built on one schema and one permission model, which is the only reason all 5 of them could ship together.
SigmaticAI is led by Ketan Khamgaonkar — an IIT Roorkee M.Tech who went on to PhD research at IIT Bombay before spending four years building AI automation, agentic systems and full web and mobile products. On every project you talk to the person writing the code.
No pitch deck. Tell us what you are trying to ship and we will tell you the fastest honest path to live — including if that path is smaller than you thought.
